i heard you're doin' okay

i'm reading a great book for my anthropology class (african film & society)--it's called Decolonising the Mind: The Politics of Language in African Culture. The author's fluid and touching account of the colonization of Kenya and the conflict between english education and his native kenyan language are exquisite. his words seem to have a mesmerizing effect on me and it makes me want to make a difference.
