i have always despised the monday after a fabulous weekend. everything must go back to reality. the work of the week has piled up and so there's nothing to look forward to for quite awhile.
but, i am happy beyond words that two of my best friends came to visit (one i've known since zero!). the three of us were inseparable since 8th grade and it was so heartwarming (for lack of a better word..ugh) to have them here. it was so nice to hang out as just the three of us. our dynamic hasn't changed one bit and it was immediately like "old times." it's amazing to have friends that are like that. it gets busy at times and we don't get to talk everyday, but that kind of thing doesn't matter because when we are together it's like we've never been apart. i'd like to think i have the small town to thank for that. but i'm going to say that it's because we were lucky enough to find our kindred spirits and we are lucky enough to understand how special and rare that really is.
so, that said, i need to get something done...homework is practically screaming my name. looks like no fun for quite awhile. i think i can handle that.
