it is officially the end of my stay here in champaign-urbana. as much as i would like to reflect on my 4 years here, i'd rather not be so public about everything i've learned. it's surprising to me because normally i have a lot to say and to reflect upon when i am leaving someplace or ending a stay in a particular part of life. today, i just feel like sitting and thinking about it. i will say that i have learned an incredibly stifling amount about myself, and others, and about the numerous incidents of injustice that exists in this world. and it has given me the knowledge to forge ahead in hopes of changing the system.
that being said, i'm in the process of writing a farewell of sorts to the campus and i'll probably choose to share that before too long.
i guess i'd also like to share a list of things that currently make me happy just so that i can remember them later if need be:::
~making to-do lists
~cucumbers on park benches with the sun shining
~juicy oranges
~independence
~when good things are happening for my friends
~missing people i know i will see very soon
~the approach of summer's warmth
~pumpkin butter
~feeling infinitely capable
~excitement for graduation
~having the time to catch up on old podcasts
i have high hopes for this summer. i have a long list of activites planned for the next couple of months and i am so enthusiastic about them. i've never felt better about the possiblity of life before me. i hope the same for you. <3<3<3
sweeter dreams.

Hi Kimberly,
Just a quick one to thank you for your thoughtful comments on my blog. I wrote a little note to you on my blog but then thought, maybe you won't know it's there so I'll leave one here too.
Sounds like you have a wonderful family. I felt like you were talking about my mum when you said all of those things. I have also thought to myself that if I turned out to be half the woman my mother is, I'd be a very happy person.
Just a comment on your list of things that makes you happy...I love cucumbers (especially the calming smell) but have never eaten them on park benches (it would be funny if you meant just putting them on park benches...ha ha) and also juicy oranges...what is pumpkin butter? Sounds yummy...
