Oh cool, thanks alot Kimberly, that's a good idea about the dashboard setting. I'll have a look at that.
It's really fantastic that you are vegan - a truly admirable life choice. I am a vegetarian (probably have been for around 15 plus years) however, I sometimes have fish which really means I'm not strictly vegetarian. I recently started looking into veganism (hope that's the right name) and it is becoming a very attractive option.
Over the years, it's been quite frustrating because my partner (of 10 years) is a big meat-eater and junk food inhaler, along with all of his family, and on my side, the majority are vegetarian with a strong interest in health. I absolutely HATE having to purchase and handle meat but it is something I have had to get used to. I am now insisting on only purchasing free-range (which my partner is more than happy about), and local and just have to hope that the animals are treated humanely. The whole industry is truly despicable (I know I don't need to tell you that!)
Unfortunately I have not been overly creative in the kitchen with my diet since having kids (just been tired/time-poor...excuses! excuses!) and so am most likely lacking in optimal vitamin/mineral levels. But I am finding that now that my littlest guy is getting older, I have more time in general so I guess, no more excuses!!
Generally though I feel ready to experiment in the kitchen and feel I am all but done with eggs, butter and cheese (milk is no issue as I've been having soy, rice and oat milk for years). I noticed that you've got another blog dedicated to all things vegan. I may have to start my research on the topic right there!
Sorry for the long-winded essay...
Oh, btw, those butter substitutes sound very nice and extremely nutritious :)
Yes, the botanical perfume obsession is totally addictive. I'm not into chemicals (I find the whole concept extremely offensive) so this is perfect for me because being all natural I can indulge in something that brings immense joy and satisfaction and know that it's not doing any harm to anything (providing materials are carefully sourced and renewable, etc.)
Ok, sorry I've really blabbed on too long now...
Thanks for your email :)
